• Addiction Support

  AA groups meet on-site; available for individual support on addiction issues. AA meets Friday @8:30pm.

• Combined Alternative Christmas Gifts and Christmas Card Distribution

  Monetary donations to charitable organizations in lieu of gifts to friends and family. Also support Christmas card distribution between church members, where senders donation of ‘postage’ is donated to a designated charitable organization.

• Board Child Care

  Methodist program for abused, neglected, and abandoned children and their families; Yearly donation via bulletin envelope.

  Adopt kids through social service programs for Christmas Gifts of Love.

• Community Assistance Fund

  1st Sunday special collection to aid a family's transition from life in a shelter to life in their own home.

• Compassion International

  Money raised by sale of Easter candy supports 2 children in India;

  Donations distributed to area shelters - Nehemiah, Women's Crisis, Homeless-Night and Day. Drop in baskets at church entrances

• Health & School Kits

  Started as project after Hurrican Katrina to provide supplies to victims. Distribution thru UMCOR.

• Homeless Help

  CANOES: Teams of cookers and servers for Eastern Regional Homeless Shelter. Currently 1st Monday, 2nd Wed/Youth, 4th Tuesday. Last Wed/Scouts.Sarah’s Hope: 2nd Monday daytime Team for day shelter Membership in BCCH coalition to address root cause of homlessness and help with move to transitional and permanent housing.

• Penny Collection

  Drop your pennies in large bottles at church entrances and Sunday School area; converted quarterly to grocery gift certificates to local school families in need

• Pillows

  20+ people make over 1000 pillows a year for surgery patients at area hospitals. Close to 10000 have been made to date.

• School Supply Drive

  Annual Collection of supplies for local elementary schools and shelters in need. Main drive is in the Fall, but mid-year need exists.

• Scouts

  Church sponsored Cub and Boy Scout troops.

• Support of UMCOR

  United Methodist Committee on Relief/UMCOR: not-for-profit international humanitarian aid organization of The United Methodist Church, active in many parts of the world bringing hope, providing relief from hunger and disasters, and teaching peace. 100% of donations go to relief not administration.

• Walk Support

  Donations and walk teams for local fundraising walks preceded by hosting of Medical Talks between services before the walk: MS/Spring-4/21/06; Breast Cancer/June; Juvenile Diabetes/Fall,;

• Wesley Home

  Donation envelope and toiletry collection in Spring; Assisted Living Residence and Skilled Nursing Center;
