    Baltimore County HOME Act

The Baltimore County Housing Opportunities Made Equal or HOME Act aims to prohibit housing discrimination based on “source of income.” Currently, Baltimore County landlords may indiscriminately reject tenant applicants based strictly on their source of income including: (1) any lawful employment; (2) any government or private assistance, grant, loan, or rental assistance program; and (3) any gift, inheritance, pension, annuity, alimony, or child support. The HOME Act, scheduled for a vote by the county council in August, would require landlords to give due consideration to all sources of income.

Below are additional facts about this act as well as letters you can fill out, sign, and mail to your district's respective council member. Please read and consider supporting this important legislative act.
